Payment Systems at Australian Online Casinos

Making deposits at online casinos

There are a number of casino payment options available to players and the question is how do you find the one that’s best for you.

Our experts at Auscasinos.com have put together a list of payment options available at Aussie online casinos which will help you when making that crucial decision. There are four broad categories of payment options.

Credit / Debit Card

Visa and MasterCard are the two most popular options for both credit cards and debit cards. The obvious advantage of using a credit or debit card is the ease of use and the familiarity. Additionally, you don’t have to set up an additional account to be able to use this payment system. Furthermore, most casinos will accept credit or debit card transactions.

If you don’t want your bank details on the web at all, then you’ll need to use another method to pay with. The risks these days are negligible, as virtually everyone uses their cards online and todays P128-bit SSL technology all but eliminates the possibility of fraud, but if you want that extra peace of mind then you’ll need an alternative – but don’t worry, there are plenty around

POLi

This is probably one of the most popular options in Australia (click here for more on POLi) and has a number of advantages including no registration required, free to use, no need for a credit card so you can avoid surcharges and receive an instant receipt. Most reputable online casinos offer POLi as a payment option.

eWallet

eWallets have to be funded using a credit or card a bank but thereafter is very convenient to use. Popular electronic wallets are Neteller and Skrill.  Casinos will transfer funds into them within 24 hours, often within just 2 or 3. They also pre-populate registration forms with your details so you don’t have to keep filling forms in – and that applies to all your web purchases which can come in very handy.

Like a pre-paid card, you have to set up an account and transfer money in and out of it, but it’s very easy to do. However, some banks won’t let you transfer money into a web wallet so you’ll need to check if your bank is one of them.

Pre-paid voucher

The third category is the prepaid voucher. The main advantage of this is that it is a onetime use instrument that can be purchased against cash at retail outlets. Therefore it does not leave any accounting trail. Ukash and Paysafecard are common prepaid cards.

Bank cheques

Some online casinos also accept checks from players. This option takes a few weeks and hence is generally not preferred. You will need to register a suitable banking option and always use that option to deposit funds.

Once you have chosen you r payment method, the next step is to get started with registration and you can read about it here.
