Workshop: Paper Marbling
November 19 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Event Navigation
Suminagashi Paper Marbling (which means “floating ink”) is the process of marbling plain paper with water and ink to transform it into something vibrant and colorful. It originated in Japan as early as the 12th century and is still used today.
Learn different techniques of floating the ink on the water to come up with bright, fun, and colorful designs. You’ll have the opportunity to practice some of these different techniques before making a variety of cards, gift tags, bookmarks, and full sheet designs.
Your marbled creations would be a great material to bring along to our annual Holiday Crafts workshop. Learn more about it by clicking here!
