In this class, students with prior experience in screen printing will learn about the process of creating repeating patterns, layering and printing using dyes, which allows a soft hand and transparency when working with fabrics. Each participant will take home fabric printed with their own artwork!
About the Artist | Monica Gorko is a multi-disciplinary artist originally from Los Angeles, CA. She earned a degree in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in 2008. She is currently pursuing a degree in Art Education and Community Engagement from UW-Milwaukee. Monicaʼs interests include fiber arts, textile and pattern printing, drawing and mixed media art.
