Please join us Friday, October 19, 6-9pm for the opening reception of PROTEST; FROM THE FREEDOM SERIES by former RedLine Mentor and MIAD Professor, Fahimeh Vahdat. Born in Iran, Vahdat’s prints on paper and fabric explore current political issues and the persecution of woman in her former county. THIS mixed media series deals with the notion of protest for positive change and focuses on protesters and their struggle for freedom and equality around the world and especially in the Middle East. An audience lead performance called CHANGE+ING ROOM will be performed opening night. This performance explores the topic of women and veil. This exhibition runs through the end of the year.
