Ann Mory Wydeven

Ann Mory Wydeven is an architectural mosaic artist and educator, working predominantly in the mediums of clay and concrete. Her studies include a Bachelors of Fine Art in Ceramics, from the University of WI-Milwaukee, and a Masters of Fine Art in sculpture from the Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI. She is an Alverno faculty alumnae and current Redline Milwaukee Mentoring Artist, building business strategies and best studio practices for emerging artists. Her studio practice spans a 28 years in creating mosaic installations and garden ornamentation for commercial and residential clients throughout the Midwest. Byzantine, Baroque, and Impressionistic styles blend in creating the sculptural embellishment. Images revolve around personal allegories woven into mythical or legendary stories, often using self-portraits to describe sense of place and family relationships.
