Dara Larson is a working artist, mentor and educator living in Milwaukee. Larson teaches Fiber Arts, Printmaking, Artists’ Books and Digital Media at Alverno College in Milwaukee. Her artwork integrates multiple media in print, books, handmade paper, drawing, digital forms and surface design techniques. Her recent subject matter explores intuitive depictions of natural and human systems of design and plays with geometry, overlap of materials and tightly filled compositions. As a mentor at Redline Larson is most interested in providing papermaking and printmaking curricula and access to the larger community. She sees the potential of these media as limitless in the exploration of diverse concepts such as leadership, social justice, spirituality, environmental learning or personal and cultural expression.
